Although we are a small country far from central and northern Europe, where the tradition of industrial design is more intense, Portugal is full of talented people and craftsmen with years of experience working on the best materials. De la Espada, founded in 1993 by Luís Oliveira and Fatima De La Espada, brings together talent and know-how in exemplary fashion, featuring a collection of furniture designed by some of the best international designers, including Ilse Crawford, Matthew Hilton, Luca Nichetto, Autoban, Neri & Hu and Jason Miller.
While Ideal & Co has the vegetable tanning skin as the material of choice, De La Espada has the wood as the base for most of its pieces of furniture, presenting a beautiful collection of chairs, tables, storage, beds and accessories.
In the last photoshoot of the brand, at the Azarujinha Monte in Alentejo, designed by the architects Aboim Inglez, De La Espada's collection lives naturally in an open space of great simplicity, which we find truly inspiring!
