We have been following the German magazine The Weekender for a long time. Still, when the publication launched the English version, we were even happier to finally be able to read the beautiful stories printed on its pages. Founded in 2011 by Dirk Mönkemöller and Christian Schneider, the magazine covers living, travel, food, and nature. Yet, despite the diversity of topics, there is an appreciation for living slowly, for creative people and local businesses that permeates the entire magazine, something we find very inspiring at Ideal & Co.
In the magazine's latest issue, topics such as ethical meat consumption, salt as a commodity or the tradition of ikat fabric are some of the themes that take us to Rotterdam, Italy, Burgundy, Denmark, Mallorca, Krumau am Kamp, Brazil and Zanzibar.
